US maintains CVD measures on rebar imports from Turkey

20 Mar 2026 15:35 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has decided to keep existing countervailing duties (CVD) on steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Turkey. Following a sunset review, the International Trade Administration determined that removing these measures would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of countervailable subsidies.

Under this decision, Turkish producer Icdas Celik Enerji Tersane ve Ulasim Sanayi A.S. faces a final net subsidy rate of 7.71%, while all other Turkish exporters are subject to a 6.58% rate. However, Habas Sinai ve Tibbi Gazlar Istihsal Endustrisi is excluded from these orders because its subsidy levels were found to be negligible.
