Swedish steelmaker SSAB has established a new distribution center in Mumbai, India, to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing local market.

The facility focuses on high value-added processing, supplying components and kits made from Hardox® wear plate and Strenx® performance steel, with a storage capacity exceeding 10,000 tons of steel plate.

Located near key industrial zones, the center will primarily serve manufacturers in transportation, construction machinery, and lifting equipment, helping improve efficiency and shorten production lead times through the delivery of prefabricated steel parts.
