The Korea Trade Commission (KTC) issued a notice on February 23, 2026, regarding carbon steel or alloy steel hot-rolled products from China and Japan.

After an affirmative final determination, the KTC requested that the Ministry of Economy and Finance impose five-year anti-dumping (AD) duties. Specifically, Chinese steel products face duty rates ranging between 28.16% and 33.10%, and Japanese steel mills will be subject to a 31.58%-33.43% duty rate.

The new AD duties aim to curb unfair pricing. The KTC also approved price undertakings from several firms. Participating companies that adhere to these price agreements will receive exemptions from these AD duties.
