Shougang Group has recently partnered with FAW Group to successfully develop and validate 2.4 GPa (2400 MPa) grade hot stamping steel. This represents another breakthrough at the upper limits of automotive materials globally and marks a milestone collaboration leveraging advanced material technology to enhance vehicle safety and strengthen core competitiveness across the industrial chain. 

The 2.4 GPa ultra-high strength hot stamping steel has been first applied in Hongqi vehicles, marking another major milestone in joint technological innovation between the two companies. 

This achievement not only demonstrates a significant breakthrough in key core technologies but also highlights the strong synergy from material development through to full vehicle application.
