UMB Steel s.r.l. chose SARRALLE to develop a modern meltshop at the Oțelu Roșu plant, which restarts after a 12-year hiatus. The project aims for an annual output of around 700,000 tons of rebars, wire rod, and compact coils for the construction and infrastructure sectors.

SARRALLE will integrate its KR-MELT® technology, featuring a vertical scrap preheating and continuous feeding system. This fully airtight design captures all fumes and cold dust to improve environmental standards.

By using this setup, the facility reduces energy consumption and improves productivity per energy unit. This partnership supports UMB Steel’s goal of efficient, sustainable production through advanced automation and mechanical systems within the Romanian steel industry.
