Interpipe finalizes takeover of ArcelorMittal’s pipe facility in Romania

Ukraine-based steel pipe manufacturer Interpipe has confirmed the completion of its acquisition of ArcelorMittal’s Romanian subsidiary, ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman S.A., with the deal taking effect on March 31, 2026.

The move represents a significant step in Interpipe’s plan to expand its footprint across Europe and strengthen its presence in key regional markets. 

According to the company, this acquisition establishes its first production base within the European Union, marking a crucial milestone in its global growth strategy. The plant will strengthen its vertically integrated operations in Ukraine.

The AMTP Roman facility is a major producer of seamless steel pipes, manufacturing products with diameters ranging from 168.3 mm to 406.4 mm.
