Egypt terminates AD probes on certain steel products from China, Turkey

9 Apr 2026 14:57 reported by Joy Liu

Egypt’s Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade has ended its anti-dumping (AD) investigation into cold-rolled, galvanized, and colored-coated steel products from China and Turkey without imposing new duties.

Although the inquiry confirmed that dumped imports caused material injury to domestic producers, the advisory committee recommended against additional taxes.

The ministry determined that existing safeguard measures already applied to these products sufficiently protect the national industry. The decision, adopted on March 31, 2026, avoids placing extra burdens on the market while prioritizing the broader economy.
