US maintains AD duties on PC strand imports from 5 countries

The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has concluded its fourth expedited sunset review of prestressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from Brazil, India, Mexico, South Korea, and Thailand, and has determined that terminating existing anti-dumping (AD) duties would likely result in continued or recurring dumping.

Specific dumping margins were set at 118.75% for Brazil, 102.07% for India, 77.20% for Mexico, 54.19% for South Korea, and 12.91% for Thailand.

Domestic producers Insteel Wire Products Company, Sumiden Wire Products Corporation, and Wire Mesh Corp. filed notices to participate in the review. However, the agency received no substantive responses from any of the respondent interested parties. Therefore, the USDOC notified the International Trade Commission (ITC) of these findings to ensure trade protections remain active against these imported products.
