Thyssenkrupp Materials Services, a division of the Thyssenkrupp Group, announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in Aceroteca Trading, a Mexican flat-rolled carbon steel processing and service center.

The transaction marks a step toward strengthening its integrated presence in North America and supports customers’ localization and nearshoring strategies. Through the deal, the division gains a modern, scalable processing platform in Mexico’s manufacturing hub. The Santa Catarina service center enhances proximity to customers, enables localized processing, shortens lead times, and optimizes supply chain solutions.

Initial agreements focus on flat steel products, with potential expansion into other categories. Aceroteca serves industries including heating, cooling, and power transmission.
