US initiates AD & CVD investigations on tin mill products from 3 countries

15 Apr 2026 13:22 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has launched anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations on tin mill products from China, Taiwan, and Turkey, following an April 9 petition from United States Steel Corporation and United Steelworkers, which alleged that these imports are sold at unfairly low prices or benefit from foreign subsidies.

The ITC is expected to determine if these imports cause material injury to the domestic steel industry. A staff conference is scheduled for April 30, 2026, with written testimonies due by April 29.

Unless extended, the commission will issue its preliminary determination by May 26, 2026.

The products involved are under subheadings 7210.11.00, 7210.12.00, 7210.50.00, 7212.10.00, 7212.50.00, 7225.99.00, and 7226.99.01 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.
