UK TRA recommends extending AD duties on welded pipes from Belarus, China

28 Apr 2026 16:30 reported by Joy Liu

The UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) intends to keep existing anti-dumping (AD) duties on welded tubes and pipes imported from Belarus and China for another five years. On April 27, 2026, the body released its recommendation, based on risks of recurring dumping and economic injury to British manufacturers.

The proposed extension maintains a 38.1% residual duty on Belarusian exporters and 90.6% on Chinese exporters. These products remain essential for UK heating and plumbing systems.

This review began in January 2026, following an application received in October 2025. The investigation covered data from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025, with an injury analysis period ranging from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2025.
