London hosted the signing of a new UK-Turkey Strategic Partnership Framework on April 23, 2026. This agreement initiates a fresh era for the bilateral relationship between the two NATO allies.

The pact expands cooperation across defense, counter-terrorism, climate change, and energy security. By aligning on science, technology, and humanitarian goals, both countries plan to promote global security and prosperity within a fragmented international order.

Additionally, the deal serves as a pathway to expand economic ties. Negotiations regarding a modernized Free Trade Agreement aim to drive bilateral investment and growth.

This partnership builds upon existing historical friendships and people-to-people links to ensure stability across the Euro-Atlantic area and the Middle East.
