SSAB’s Q1 operating profit improves

Swedish steelmaker SSAB reported a stronger operating profit in the first quarter of 2026, supported by higher steel shipments and better performance in Europe and the Americas.

 

The company’s operating profit rose to SEK 2.20 billion, compared with SEK 1.35 billion in the same period last year. Its EBITDA also increased to SEK 3.24 billion, while the EBITDA margin improved to 13%.
