Taiwan’s Yieh Phui keeps a positive outlook despite Q1 loss

Yieh Phui Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Yieh Phui), a leading coating steel producer in Taiwan, recorded a net loss of NT$745.18 million for the first quarter of this year, resulting in a loss per share of NT$0.40. Revenue for the period dropped by 12% year on year to NT$16.32 billion. These results came after the company reported a total net loss of NT$3.54 billion for 2025.

Despite the initial deficit, a recovery appears likely. Yieh Phui’s domestic prices have risen for five consecutive months, while export prices have hiked for four. To mitigate the impact of new EU quota reductions, the company secured orders ahead of time.

As global steel demand stabilizes and pricing remains strong, Yieh Phui expects its operational performance to improve throughout the remainder of the year.
