US maintains AD & CVD duties on non-oriented electrical steel imports from 6 nations

7 May 2026 13:47 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted on April 29, 2026, to preserve the existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on non-oriented electrical steel (NOES) from China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan.

This second sunset review concluded that removing the current protection measures would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time to American producers.

Under this final ruling, all current trade restrictions on the specified electrical steel products stay active.
