Mexico's Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, visited the construction site of Ternium's new steel mill in Nuevo Leon, a project with a total investment exceeding US$7.5 billion.

Currently, the construction is in its third phase, which involves an additional investment of US$4 billion. Ternium plans to begin operations by the end of this year to strengthen its steel production capacity for the automotive sector.

During the tour, Ebrard emphasized that the government's objective is to support companies investing in Mexico and reduce dependence on imports.

Máximo Vedoya, CEO of Ternium, highlighted that the investment not only boosts production but also strengthens the industrial ecosystem by generating quality jobs and developing supply chains.
