The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission has finalized a subsidy investigation into steel corner beads and angles from China. Non-cooperative and all other Chinese exporters face a 4.5% countervailing duty (CVD).

This ruling covers items under customs codes 7216.61.00.57, 7216.69.00.58, 7216.91.00.59, 7216.99.00.60, and 7308.90.00.53. The measures exclude plastic and stainless steel corner beading, as well as external render or texture beading.

The probe began in May 2025 based on a petition from Rondo Building Services Pty Ltd. To assess market impacts, the authority reviewed a subsidy period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, and the injury examination dates back to July 1, 2020.
