Galperti Special Alloys S.p.A., part of Galperti Group, has contracted Danieli to engineer and install an 8-ton Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) furnace and a 10-ton Electro-Slag Remelting (ESR) unit in Italy.

These systems enable precise control over chemical composition and steel cleanliness. The VIM furnace manages heat-resistant grades under vacuum, while the ESR unit improves inclusion control and homogeneity for demanding applications.

This investment expands Galperti Group's capabilities into upstream melting and remelting technologies. Danieli will handle manufacturing, testing, and commissioning, with operations planned to start in the second half of 2026.

The cooperation aims to optimize production costs and quality for the premium-quality steel segment. This project builds on Galperti's history in forging while strengthening Danieli's position in high-end specialty steel manufacturing.
