VinMetal, a steel manufacturer under Vingroup, and Primetals Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a large-scale integrated steel complex in Ha Tinh, Vietnam.

This project focuses on producing long and flat steel using advanced, digitized, and environmentally friendly technology. Primetals serves as the technology integrator, optimizing the entire production chain from smelting to finished rolling.

The partnership aims to reduce technical risks and speed up project timelines by standardizing solutions early. In addition to machinery, the agreement covers digital transformation and staff training to ensure operational efficiency.

Located in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, the plant targets to start initial operation in 2027. This facility supports Vietnam’s metallurgical growth by providing high-quality products for domestic infrastructure and global exports through sustainable, international ESG standards.
