The Executive Management Committee of Brazil's Foreign Trade Chamber (Gecex-Camex) decided to raise anti-dumping (AD) duties on metallic magnesium in crude forms, known as magnesium ingots, originating in China.

According to Resolution No. 892 issued on May 8, 2026, the duty rate jumped from US$1.18 per kilogram to US$4.07 per kilogram. This change takes effect immediately and targets products under subheadings 8104.11.00 and 8104.19.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).

This adjustment originated from a review process initiated in November 2025 following a request from the domestic producer RIMA Industrial S.A. The review re-evaluated measures originally established in 2021.
