Interpipe, a Ukrainian manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products, has completed its first delivery of ULT35 wheel sets to a Swedish green steel mill.

Developed specifically for heavy-haul transport, these components support an axle load of 35 tons, surpassing the common 20-25 ton capacity found in typical freight railcars. Because these heavy loads require reinforced infrastructure, the design focuses on superior strength and wear resistance.

Niklas Eriksson, a senior sales specialist at Interpipe, said that the product offers longevity even when used on railcars with lower loads, potentially lowering the customer's repair inventory.

Interpipe, which sells railway products under the KLW brand, exported 89,000 tons of railway products globally in 2025. This specialized delivery establishes a new technical standard for the company’s Swedish railcar manufacturing partner.
