A A A
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has determined that revoking the existing countervailing duty (CVD) orders on non-oriented electrical steel (NOES) from China and Taiwan and the anti-dumping (AD) duty orders on the same products from China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.

These protections were established in 2014 and first reviewed in 2020. The latest five-year sunset review began on December 1, 2025.

Specific weighted-average dumping margins reach 407.52% for China, 204.79% for Japan, 126.72% for Sweden, and 98.84% for Germany. Taiwan and South Korea face rates of 52.23% and 6.88%, respectively. Additionally, Chinese imports face a subsidy tax of 158.88%.
