PT Garuda Yamato Steel (GYS) has awarded Danieli a contract to upgrade the water-treatment plant at its Indonesian steel facility. The new installation will serve as the primary cooling system, supporting production processes and ensuring stable water handling.

Designed for a brownfield site, the system fits within the existing plant layout, reducing the need for demolition and extensive civil work. Existing structures, piping supports, electrical and cable-routing systems, and overhead cranes will be reused to lower costs and speed up implementation.

Danieli’s scope covers engineering, equipment supply, automation, and project management, all of which meet international standards. The company will also provide support through commissioning and final acceptance, aiming to secure long-term operational reliability and efficient resource use.
