The Spanish Steel Manufacturers Association (Unesid) is concerned about a series of safeguard measures implemented by the UK, which it believes could negatively impact the European steel industry.
Unesid representatives met with the UK Trade Secretary, stating that in a complex global environment, the European and UK steel industries face shared challenges. They emphasized that trade measures should be coordinated to avoid disproportionate impacts and maintain a balance in bilateral relations.
The association stressed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with traditional trading partners in accessing European markets, particularly with EU countries that share common economic, social, and environmental values.
