NMDC Steel achieves full monthly capacity at Indian TSCR facility

NMDC Steel Limited reached 100% of its rated capacity at its integrated steel plant, securing a new monthly production record.

Powered by Danieli QSP® (Quality Strip Production) technology, the plant utilizes a Thin Slab Casting and Rolling (TSCR) layout with distinct roughing and finishing mills to produce high-strength and Thermo-Mechanical Controlled Processed (TMCP) steels.

The facility became India’s first TSCR plant, awarded the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) license under IS 18384 for hot-rolled steel used in welded pipeline transportation. This certification allows the company to supply critical infrastructure projects.

Furthermore, NMDC Steel has scaled up commercial manufacturing for specialty grades such as BSK 46, ISH 550 LA, and E450 BR, catering to automotive, industrial, and infrastructure demand.
