EEC extends AD duty on seamless steel pipes from China

20 Dec 2024 15:04 reported by Stanley Wang

The board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has extended the anti-dumping (AD) duty on hot-deformed seamless pipes made of corrosion-resistant steel from China until September 24, 2025.

Initially set to expire on January 31, 2025, the duty extension is linked to an ongoing repeat anti-dumping investigation, the EEC stated. According to the Eurasian Economic Union's regulatory framework, the current anti-dumping measures can be prolonged during such investigations, which must conclude within 12 months of their commencement. The repeat investigation began in September 2024.

The EEC first imposed the 15.5% anti-dumping duty on these steel pipes in December 2019, calculated as a percentage of the customs value. The subjected products are under HS Codes 7304.4910.00, 7304.4993.01, 7304.4993.09, 7304.4995.01, 7304.4995.09, and 7304.4999.00.
