US’ OCTG imports fall in March, South Korea leads supply

According to preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 94,000 tons of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) in March, dropping by 19% compared to the previous month and by 35% from the same month a year ago.

South Korea was the leading source of US OCTG imports in the month, supplying about 22,570 tons, followed by Taiwan with 22,560 tons. Canada ranked third with about 11,300 tons.

In terms of value, OCTG imports were approximately US$105 million, down by 19% month on month and by 45% year on year.
