Turkey’s rebar exports slightly drop in Jan-Nov 2024

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 3.1 million tons of rebar in the first 11 months of 2024, slightly falling by 0.5% compared to the corresponding period a year ago. The export value was down by 7% year on year to around US$1.8 billion.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Yemen (573,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10%), Romania (204,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 121%), and Albania (200,000 tons, a year-on-year jump of 189%).

In November alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 311,000 tons, a month-on-month growth of 42% and a year-on-year hike of 11%. These exports were worth around US$180.5 million, rising by 43% month on month and by 14% year on year.
