Peru initiates AD probe on China’s wire rods

Following an application filed by the domestic producer Corporación Aceros Arequipa S.A., Peru started an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on wire rods originating in China, covering an investigation period from July 2023 to June 2024 and the injury analysis period from June 2021 to June 2024.

The products involved are non-alloy, low and high carbon steel wire rods, with a circular section and smooth surface, and with a diameter ranging from 5.5 mm to 16 mm. These products are under tariff subheadings 7213.20.00.00, 7213.91.10.00, 7213.91.90.00, and 7213.99.00.00.
