Turkey reports m-o-m, y-o-y drop in wire rod exports in Jan

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s wire rod exports totaled around 55,000 tons in January, significantly decreasing by 57% compared to the previous month and by 22% from the same month a year ago. The export value was also down by 57% month on month and by 26% year on year to roughly US$32 million.

Among them, Romania was the main export destination with roughly 32,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 112%. Australia followed with around 7,400 tons, soaring by 108% year on year. Syria ranked third with about 2,900 tons.
