EMSTEEL, the only heavy beam and sheet pile producer in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, has partnered with Danieli for a turnkey Thermo-Mechanical Control Process (TMCP) upgrade at its rolling mill #4 in Abu Dhabi.

This investment will enable EMSTEEL to expand its product portfolio to include high-strength beams according to Grade 80 ASTM A913/A913M and S500ML EN 10025-4, important for demanding construction projects such as high-rise buildings and long-span bridges.

The TMCP system, featuring Selective Flange Cooling (SFC) and Quenching & Self-Tempering (QST), will enhance mechanical properties while reducing water consumption by 30%. Danieli Automation will integrate the new system for automatic process control, with Danieli Construction overseeing installation. This move enables EMSTEEL to meet growing demand for materials offering substantial savings in construction weight and fabrication costs, mainly welding, for various applications.
