Turkey’s rebar exports hike in Jan-Apr y-o-y

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 1.4 million tons of rebar in the first four months of this year, hiking by 27% compared to the corresponding period a year ago. The export value was up by 20% year on year to around US$757 million.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Yemen (304,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 78%), Romania (107,500 tons, a year-on-year rise of 8%), and Albania (86,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 20%).

In April alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 291,000 tons, a month-on-month drop of 3% and a year-on-year hike of 6%. These exports were worth around US$165 million, sliding by 1.2% month on month but rising by 2% year on year.
