According to statistics from Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX), Brazil’s wire rod exports totaled roughly 21,000 tons in May, rising by 21% compared to the preceding month.

Among them, exports were mainly to the US, with around 8,800 tons, followed by 6,300 tons to Thailand and 3,600 tons to South American nations. The supply from ArcelorMittal accounted for the largest share, totaling nearly 19,000 tons.

During the same period, Brazil’s wire rod imports reached approximately 20,000 tons, a month-on-month growth of 39%. Among them, China was the biggest import source with about 14,000 tons, and Egypt ranked second with roughly 6,000 tons.
