Mexico’s rebar & wire rod output slides in Apr m-o-m, y-o-y

According to preliminary statistics from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI), Mexico’s rebar production in April totaled approximately 255,500 tons, falling by 3.9% compared to the previous month and by 8.3% year on year.

Meanwhile, Mexico’s wire rod production dropped by 1.7% month on month and by 4.5% year on year to about 141,300 tons.

In the first four months of this year, Mexico’s rebar output amounted to around 1.1 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3%. Wire rod output reached roughly 561,000 tons, down by 7% year on year.
