Turkey’s rebar exports hike in Jan-May

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 1.65 million tons of rebar in the first five months of this year, increasing by 23.5% compared to the corresponding period a year ago.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Yemen (334,600 tons, a year-on-year hike of 29%), Romania (159,700 tons, a year-on-year rise of 31.4%), and Albania (99,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 14%).

In May alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 355,400 tons, a year-on-year rise of 21.4%. Exports to Romania accounted for the largest share, totaling about 52,300 tons, soaring by 142.6% year on year.
