Taiwan’s Yieh Hsing raises carbon steel & stainless steel wire rod prices for Aug

Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's major wire rod manufacturers, today announced an increase in its wire rod prices for August, ending several months of negotiated pricing.

According to the price announcement, the carbon steel wire rod price is increased by NT$1,000/ton, while the stainless steel wire rod is raised by NT$2,000/ton. This is a notable synchronized increase across both carbon and stainless steel products for Yieh Hsing. The hike in stainless steel wire rod price is particularly significant as it sees two major suppliers, Yieh Hsing and Walsin Lihwa, raising prices concurrently, a rare occurrence in recent months.

Yieh Hsing attributed the price adjustments to clarifying tariff issues between the US and key nations, which could reduce market uncertainty, alongside rising upstream raw material costs.
