French pipe manufacturer Vallourec announced the completion of its sale of Serimax, a subsidiary specializing in manual and mechanized orbital welding solutions, for EUR 79 million, including a EUR 7 million earn-out. The transaction reflects Vallourec's strategic transformation to focus on its core business of high-grade seamless steel pipes.

The buyer, French investment company Aldebaran, will continue to support Serimax's global expansion.

This sale is a key component of the New Vallourec plan, which aims to optimize capital investment and divest non-core businesses.
