Turkey’s rebar exports grow in Jan-Jun, Yemen buys most

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 2 million tons of rebar in the first half of this year, increasing by 28% compared to the corresponding period a year ago.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Yemen (370,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 33%), Romania (224,500 tons, a year-on-year surge of 77%), and Albania (125,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 32%).

In June alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 295,000 tons, a year-on-year growth of 41%. Exports to Romania accounted for the largest share, totaling about 64,100 tons, soaring by 1,043% year on year.
