Welspun Tubular LLC, a US producer of steel pipes for the oil and gas industry under India’s Welspun Corp Ltd., is investing US$150 million to build a new Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) line pipe mill and coating facility at its site in Little Rock, Arkansas. The project is expected to create 300 new jobs.

The new LSAW facility will produce line pipes ranging from 6 to 56 inches, a capability unique in the US. It will enable Welspun to serve various sectors, including oil and gas, carbon capture, LNG export, as well as hydrogen pipelines.

This is the company's second major expansion in Arkansas in two years, following a US$100 million investment in its High Frequency Induction Welded (HFIW) facility in 2024.

The total investment over its nearly two-decade presence in the state now exceeds US$400 million.
