On a notice on August 18, 2025, Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission has extended the due date to publish its Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) and the final report and recommendation for its review of anti-dumping (AD) measures on steel reinforcing bar from China’s Baowu Group Echeng Iron and Steel Co Ltd.

The commission, which launched the review on May 26, 2025, now expects to issue a final report to the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science by February 16, 2026. This delay postpones the SEF to no later than December 10, 2025. The review is examining whether the current AD measures should be altered.

The products involved are hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bar (rebar) with a diameter of 50mm or less, under HS codes 7213.10.00.42, 7214.20.00.47, 7227.90.10.69, 7227.90.90.01, 7227.90.90.02, 7227.90.90.04, 7228.30.10.70, 7228.30.90.40, and 7228.60.10.72.
