US’ OCTG imports rise in Jun y-o-y, South Korea becomes top supplier

According to preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 133,000 tons of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) in June, falling by 30% compared to the previous month and rising by 6% from the same month a year ago.

South Korea was the leading source of US OCTG imports, supplying about 32,300 tons, followed by Taiwan with 26,800 tons, Canada with 15,000 tons, and Spain with 13,000 tons.

In terms of value, OCTG imports were approximately US$164 million in June, down by 30% month on month and by 12% year on year.
