USITC reviews AD & CVD duties on China’s carbon and alloy steel wire rod

24 Sep 2025 14:38 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has initiated an expedited five-year review of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from China to determine whether revoking the existing AD and CVD orders would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.

The ITC decided to conduct an expedited review after finding the information provided by domestic companies, Charter Steel, Commercial Metals Company, Liberty Steel USA, Nucor Steel, and Optimus Steel LLC to be individually adequate. The commission will not be conducting a full review.

The ITC has extended the review period by up to 90 days, as these reviews are extraordinarily complicated. Other interested parties may submit written comments to the ITC secretary by October 9, 2025.
