Canada imposes provisional AD & CVD duties on China’s cast iron soil pipes

On October 9, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued an affirmative preliminary determination of its anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on cast iron soil pipes originating in or exported from China.

The CBSA will impose provisional duties on the subject goods, with the combined AD and CVD rates totaling between 213.4% and 329.2%. A Statement of Reasons for the preliminary decision will be released within 15 days.

The products involved are under tariff classification numbers 7303.00.00.10 and 7303.00.00.90.
