According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's welded steel pipe exports totaled around 1.3 million tons in the first eight months of this year, falling by 1.4% compared to the same period a year ago. The export value dropped by 9.7% year on year to about US$1.1 billion.

Among them, Romania was the top export destination, receiving about 212,000 tons, a year-on-year drop of 12%. Exports to the UK had a 0.9% decrease, reaching about 114,000 tons. The delivery to the Iraq ranked third, up by 19% year on year to roughly 103,000 tons.

In August alone, Turkey exported approximately 186,200 tons of welded steel pipes, a month-on-month increase of 25% and a year-on-year hike of 14%.
