Pipe and Steel Industrial Fabricators Inc., a US construction company, is investing US$5.1 million to expand its steel processing and fabrication facility in Denham Springs, Louisiana. The project will add a new steel processing center and modernize existing facilities with advanced, productivity-boosting equipment.

The expansion is expected to increase beam-cutting capacity, create 20 new jobs, and retain 70 current positions. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2026 and finish by June.

Pipe and Steel CEO Kylie Sparks said the upgrade will use the most advanced fabrication methods to better serve clients, including daily emergency fabrication needs in the Greater Baton Rouge/Gulf South region.

The state of Louisiana supported the project with an incentive package, including US$200,000 from the Economic Development Award Program (EDAP) for infrastructure.
