According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on November 7, 2025, the US rig count rose by two to 548 units compared to the previous week. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas hiked by three to 128 units, and that for oil remained flat at 414 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 37 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count increased by four to 191 units from the previous week, including 129 oil rigs (up by two week on week) and 62 gas rigs (up by two week on week). Canada’s rig number dropped by 16 units compared to the same period a year ago.
