Nippon Steel has announced the signing of a new 10-year global framework agreement with Sumitomo Corporation and Shell Global Solutions International for the supply of oil country tubular goods (OCTG). The deal extends a partnership that has lasted more than five decades, during which Nippon Steel and Sumitomo have jointly supplied seamless OCTG products to Shell operations in over 20 countries.

The renewed agreement highlights the strategic collaboration between the companies: Nippon Steel will continue providing high-grade, high-performance OCTG, while Sumitomo will leverage its expertise in supply-chain management, on-time delivery, and inventory solutions.

Under the new framework, the partners will focus on expanding the OCTG product lineup to meet evolving oil and gas sector needs, enhancing global logistics efficiency, and adopting digital technologies to improve product traceability, transparency, and service quality.
