Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited’s subsidiary Sambhv Tubes Private Limited has received Environmental Clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for a greenfield integrated steel project at Village Kesda, Chhattisgarh.

The integrated facility is approved for an annual production capacity of 700,000 tons of DRI-based sponge iron, 1.2 million tons of iron ore pellets, and 1.045 million tons of MS billets with EAF and induction furnaces.

Besides, the project includes units for 1 million tons of steel tubes/pipes and other profiles, 1 million tons of rerolled steel products, 600,000 tons of cold-rolled products, and an 85 MW captive power plant.

The Environmental Clearance is valid for ten years and can be extended by an additional year. This approval paves the way for the large-scale industrial development.
