Çemtaş Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Çemtaş), a Turkish special steel manufacturer, has placed an order with German engineering firm Kocks for a new Reducing & Sizing Block RSB® 370++/4 in the 5.0 design.

This investment is a key part of the company's modernization plan for its special bar quality (SBQ) rolling operations. The new mill, scheduled to be operational by 2026, will enable Çemtaş to produce straight bars with diameters from 15.0 mm to 100.0 mm. It is designed to achieve tight dimensional tolerances and high surface quality, meeting stringent requirements for downstream applications.

According to Kocks, the supply includes not only the core machinery but also an advanced remote control system. This system can automatically adjust stands and guide adjustments, as well as auxiliary equipment, enhancing both operational ease and production efficiency.
