According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s wire rod exports totaled around 830,400 tons in the first 11 months of last year, rising by 4.7% compared to the same period a year ago. The export value dropped by 2% year on year to roughly US$475 million.

Among them, Romania was the main export destination with roughly 282,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 19%. Australia followed with around 64,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.5%, and Bulgaria ranked third with about 58,000 tons.

In November alone, Turkey exported about 62,000 tons of wire rod, a month-on-month hike of 15% and a year-on-year surge of 134%. The value of these exports reached approximately US$35 million, up by 14% month on month and by 111% year on year.
